About the Author
S.G. COURTRIGHT, a former concert promoter and marketing specialist, is an Oregon State University graduate, a wife, and mother of three. While she still keeps up with her active family, instead of spending her days writing marketing plans for Fortune 500 companies, she now enjoys penning stories in a variety of genres. Her debut novel, Red Reins is inspired by a historical wilderness resort near her childhood home in the northeastern Oregon town of La Grande.

Red Reins by S.G. Courtright

What a fun read! Many suspects keep the tale circling and puzzling. I especially liked the photos on the website that brought its unique setting to life...beautiful country and based on a "real character". Loved learning about the Hollywood history tied into the location. Very satisfying.

A Western With a Real-Life Twist

You can't read this book and not want to visit Red's Horse Ranch (maybe going back in time to hang out with John Wayne while you're at it). Anyone who likes western tales will like this mystery with a real-life western setting and based on some true-life western characters. "Red Reins" is the right title for a super-colorful story that includes horses, action and (yikes!) some well-placed blood splatters. Warmly recommended!
