Many of Conrad s novels have been adapted for film, most notably Heart of Darkness, which served as the inspiration and foundation for Francis Ford Coppola s 1979 film Apocalypse Now.

The movie "Swept From The Sea" is the reason I read this book. I enjoyed the movie and the book.

I read this on my Kindle and it was a fairly quick read, with a touching, well-written story. It is one of the many great classics available for free download on Kindle with Prime membership.

A twisted tale of intolerance, a lesson to be learned in it for all.

One of the things I love about reading Conrad is that his books and short stories always leave me pondering the human condition. As a student of psychology, this story was intriguing in its twists and turns as it demonstrated the failings of prejudice.
